Abstract

The purpose of this study is to characterize the physical, chemical, and biological properties of Sukosari land. The research was conducted via survey, evaluating the soil properties in agricultural areas to obtain 12 points at various altitudes. The results indicated that sand made up the most significant percentage of texture, ranging from 56 to 67 %. The analysis results of the soil's degree of acidity (pH) indicate that it is acidic, ranging between 4-5. The analysis of soil organic carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium yielded low values. The total number of bacteria and fungi in the soil, on the other hand, is relatively high. As a result, it can be concluded that Sukosari's soil fertility is still relatively low. Additionally, it is recommended that the microorganisms present in each type of soil and land use Sukosari are identified.

Abstract

Seed health testing can help to limit the danger of seed-borne diseases, particularly fungus, spreading from one location to another. To detect several types of seed-borne fungus, seed testing utilizing the filter paper incubation method (blotter test) was carried out. Under a microscope, the isolates acquired after incubation were identified. The creation of sample preparations becomes a crucial key in facilitating the easy and practical identification of fungus. The purpose of this study was to use a blotter test to identify rice seed-borne fungus using the tape method to prepare sample. Incubation was accomplished by planting the seeds on Whatman paper and exposing them to 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness alternately. The tape method was used for the preparation of the fungus that grows on the seeds. The tape method is a quick, simple, and practical way to detect the fungus that covers the seed's surface. Tilletia barclayana, Phoma sp., Fusarium sp., Aspergillus niger, Desclera oryzae, Curvularia lunata, C. pallescens, Stemphylium sp. and Nigrospora sp. have all been detected. Keywords: Benih padi, Mikroskop, Morfologi cendawan, Patogen tular benih, Seed-borne

Abstract

The research was about seed bank of weed on cropping pattern various and soil depth in coastal sandy land conducted to know density, compostion and diversity of weed on three lands weed different of soil depth and cropping patent. The research with the sampling of soil object in Bugel Beach, Panjatan District, Kulonprogo Regency, Special Province of Yogyakarta. The Palace to grow of seed bank in green house on Agriculture Departement, Faculty of Agriculture, Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta. The experimental design was Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) Factorial with two factors and three replications. The first factor was kinds of cropping pattern consisted of “bero”, cropping pattern in rotation and cropping pattern of intercropping. The second factors was soils depth consisted of 0-5 cm, 5-10 cm, 10-15 cm and 15-30 cm. The result showed that high density level be obtained on intercropping lands on 5-10 cm soils depth. The composition from seed bank be obtained broadleaf weeds was dominated in all of lands, the dominate of broadleaf were Oldenladia corymbosa, herbaceous of Eragrostis tenela, Digitaria sanguinalis and Cyperis compresus, C. rotundus. The diversity from seed bank on three of lands from four of soils depth was the weed isn’t homogene. Key word: seed bank, cropping pattern, soil depth, snady land

Abstract

Rice is one of the leading commodities for Baureno District, Bojonegoro Regency. Along with high revenue potential, farmers working in this area also have to face various agricultural risks. This study aims to analyze the production risk and income risk of rice farming. The study was conducted in Baureno District, Bojonegoro Regency, involving 55 farmers as respondents who were selected by simple random sampling. The level of production risk and farm income is calculated by the coefficient of variation analysis. The results of this study showed that rice farming in Baureno sub-district has high production risk and income risk, as indicated by the analysis of the coefficient of variation on production risk of 0.584 and income risk of 0.626.Keywords: Production risk, income, rice

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine whether the use of production factors for the Small and Medium Industry (IKM) tofu meatballs was technically and economically efficient, the study also aimed to determine the level of technical efficiency and economic efficiency of the use of production factors for Small and Medium Industries (IKM). tofu meatballs located in Ungaran, Semarang, Central Java. The production factors analyzed include the amount of tofu used, the number of meatballs used, labor, gas, and packaging. The technique used in sampling is the saturated sample technique, which makes the entire population of 28 IKM owners into the sample. Data processing methods using Microsoft excel and SPSS 23. Data processing includes multiple linear regression test, t test, f test, technical efficiency analysis, and economic efficiency analysis. The results of this study are the production factors of tofu meatballs in the form of tofu, meatballs, labor, gas, and packaging are not yet economically efficient because the EE value is more/less than 1.Keywords: meatball tofu, production factors, technical efficiency, economic efficiency
